- 3-Man Center-flag, Universal RaceTo-1 rules will be used.
- Marker Rate of Fire Restrictions
- D6 Beginner: Semi-Auto Capped at 10.5 BPS. No full-auto, 3 shot burst or responsive triggers will be allowed.
- D5 Rookie: Capped at 10.5 BPS. Ramping may be allowed depending on host field rules.
- Team Composition: In order to maintain a team’s seasonal standings, teams must maintain at least two (2) original players from their original team roster at every event to qualify as the same team.
- Game Structure: Game-time will last 3 minutes, with 10 second pre-game warning.
Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 6 preliminary games.
- The CFOA 3-Man will utilize the game scoring methods found in the Universal RaceTo-1 format:
- Game Points: Teams will only earn points for hanging the flag. A team that successfully hangs the flag will receive one (1) game point per flag hang.
NO game points will be awarded for eliminations or for flag pulls. The elapsed game time will also be documented by the scorekeeper.
- In order to determine event standings, teams will receive the following for their game results:
- The winning team will receive a point towards their total wins for the day. A game that is won will be denoted on the scoreboard by placing the remaining gametime in the winning teams corresponding gameslot.
The losing team will receive no points towards their total wins for the day. A game that is lost will be denoted on the scoreboard by placing an "L" in the losing teams corresponding gameslot. In the event of a tie game or a stalemate game, both teams will receive no points towards their total wins for the day. A game that ends as a tie or in a stalemate will be denoted on the scoreboard by placing a "T" in both teams corresponding gameslots.
- Playoffs: If a division has 11 – 20 teams participating in that division, then the top 8 prelim scores in the division move on to the Semi-Finals. If a division has less than 11 teams, the top 4 prelim scores in the division will advance to the finals.
- Semi-Final teams will be seeded by the order of their preliminary finish. Brackets will be:
- Seeds #1, #4, #5, and #8 in one grouping.
- Seeds #2, #3, #6, and #7 in the other grouping.
- Each semi-final team will play round robin within its bracket. The top two (2) cumulative scores from each bracket will move onto the Finals.
- Finals teams will play round robin. Final cumulative scores determining the finishing order.
- Tiebreakers: In the event of a tie between teams for advancement, the tie will be settled by the following criteria:
- Number of games won, followed by
- Cumulative Remaining Gametime.
- Seasonal Standings: Teams will receive Seasonal Standings Points based on their final ranking at each event.
- Points will be awarded based on the APPA scoreboard system which awards points based on the number of teams participating within a division at an event.
- The maximum score being 100 points per event.
- The minimum score being 10 points per event.
- Seasonal Standing Points may depreciate at varying rates from event to event depending on the amount of teams participating within a division.
- Seasonal Point Standings will be kept for both divisions at each park.
- Seasonal Points will be cumulative for all 3-man events.
- The top three (3) event scores from each team will be applied toward their year end standing.
- The top three (3) teams in each division from each park will be invited to the Championships.
Any team who participates in all 4 series events will be invited to the Championships. Any team that wins their division at the 3rd or 4th event will automatically qualify for the Championships.
