Great News About The 2010 CFOA Entry Fees!

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Once again the industry's premiere paintball manufacturers have stepped up to show their continued support for the CFOA, its players and teams.  The CFOA, with the support of Procaps and Kee Action Sports, has strived throughout the off-season to find a way to reduce the cost of competition that all teams face.  After much deliberation, the CFOA is pleased to present its own stimulus plan for the 2010 season.  This plan accomplishes the ultimate goal of reducing the cost of competition for players and teams.

New for the 2010 season, entrance fees for the RaceTo-2 and RaceTo-X events will include an allotment of paint from the league sponsors.  Understanding that paint is an important variable in competing, the league has worked it out so that with registration, each team will receive equal amounts of DXS Bronze and RPS Premium paintballs.  Although paint consumption may vary, each team should receive enough paint to see them through their prelim matches with their team's event registration.  If a team wishes to upgrade to a higher grade of paint, that option will be available.

The CFOA's goal for 2010 was to reduce the cost per player to play an event.  Feedback from the post-season survey showed that a team's cost in paint was an uncontrollable variable and made it difficult to budget the cost per event for their players.  Teams now have the ultimate control over the cost per player by increasing or decreasing the size of their team roster.

The CFOA understands that some teams may have sponsorships connected to their paint consumption and has taken this factor into consideration.  The CFOA has addressed this issue with both Procaps and Kee Action Sports and will be able to track a team's event paint consumption.  This information will then be reported back to the manufacturer so proper credit can be applied to the sponsor's account.  If this is an area of concern for your team, please contact larry@thecfoa.com.
