All-new Player Classification Appeals Procedure

The CFOA realizes that while the APPA is a great system that keeps all divisions competitive, there are sometimes legitimate reasons for reclassifying players on an individual basis. The CFOA has created an independent council that will listen to these player’s reasons for their own reclassification and will announce their decisions and the reasons for their decisions publicly on TheCFOA.com. To file an appeal, players must pay a $25 application fee that will be refunded if the council finds that the player should be reclassified for valid reasons such as long-term injuries, extended time away from tournament paintball, a premature classification promotion due to non-CFOA sanctioned events, etc. To file an appeal of for more information please visit TheCFOA.com/appeals

Changes To RaceTo-2

Entry Fees have been reduced for division 4 and 5 to $550. Each entrance fee will include 6 cases of paint (3 RPS Premium and 3 DXS Bronze).

Division 3 will now be known as the prestigious PRO-AM Division and will allow up to 2 players with a D-1 or higher rank per team. This division will continue to count as a D-3 event towards player classification in the APPA. The CFOA has always been home to some of the most talented players in paintball and will once again offer a place for the best in the world to compete as well as an opportunity for up-and-comers to try their skills out against the best. The PRO-AM entry fee is $250 and will include 6 cases of paint. The division is limited to 8 teams with 1st place receiving $50 per team (minus a $25 fee used to provide the 2nd place team beverages of their choice.)

All teams competing in the RaceTo-2 events will play 8 preliminary RaceTo-1 games and will get the opportunity to try their skills out on the teams in other divisions. For example, D-4 teams will play a mix of D-5, D-4 and PRO-AM teams in the prelims.

Individual player eliminations (body counts) will once again be used as a tie breaker between teams with similar records each round.

All playoff rounds will be played in the traditional RaceTo-2 format (i.e. best of 3.)

By popular demand, coaching will be no longer be allowed in the CFOA RaceTo-2 series!
